Hebrew U. Students Protest Arab Incitement Reported: 18:52 PM - Mar/10/08
(IsraelNN.com) Hundreds of students held a protest at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem on Monday evening against recent Arab protests on campus. The protestors accused Arab groups of incitement against the state. Arab Israeli university students have regularly caused anger among Jewish students by protesting the establishment of the State of Israel as a “Nakba” (“Catastrophe”) and honoring deceased arch-terrorist Yasser Arafat, the former head of the Palestinian Authority. Jewish activists have staged counter-protests in the past. In November a Jewish activist was physically attacked at the Hebrew University for flying an Israeli flag during an Arab nationalist protest. Monday night’s protest was organized by the Zionist "Im Tirtzu" (If You Wish) organization. The group has also organized solidarity missions to Sderot, protests against the alleged politicization of the Winograd Committee, and free trips to the Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum for Arab university students. ![]() Check out the Chill Zone - Funny, Entertaining Videos © IsraelNN Syndications - This article may not be republished freely.
