President Shimon Peres hosted 20 women who occupy prominent positions Sunday, in honor of International Women's Day. Among the women attending the President's Residence were Capt. Y., a combat pilot; Capt. Fanny Malka, commander of the women's Oketz bomb-sniffing dogs' unit and Carmela Menashe, the military affairs correspondent for Voice of Israel government radio.
"I recommend being under the rule of women, it is a much more effective and balanced one," Peres said. "The difference between women and men is that men are generally alike, whereas each woman is something special, a different civilization," he explained.
