IDF Major-General (Res.) Shmuel Eyal died on Thursday at the age of 86.  Eyal was the IDF’s eighth chief of personnel, a position that he held during the Six Day War.

Eyal will be buried in the military cemetery in Rishon L’Tzion.  His funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday.
