Traffic officials reported a serious traffic jam at the Hizma checkpoint north of Jerusalem on Thursday afternoon. Traffic from Samaria to Hizma was at a near standstill, and traffic from Jerusalem to Samaria was occasionally backed up as well.
Spokesmen explained that the traffic jam was caused by repair work being done at the site. The work would be finished at approximately 7:30 p.m., they said.
