The Knesset has passed on first reading a bill that would allow customers to return purchases within 30 days and receive a full cash refund instead of having to settle for a credit at the store. The bill is sponsored by Shas Knesset Member Yaakov Margi and Labor MK Eitan Cabel.

Current legislation allows the customers to receive a credit only within 14 days of the date of purchase. The bill must pass a committee and two more Knesset votes before becoming law.
