Nearly one thousands residents in Ashkelon and Sderot filed for damage claims at the Tax Authority the past week following the escalation in the number and range of rocket attacks by Arab terrorists on Israel. The government compensates citizens for damage caused by terrorists.
At least 113 cars and 565 buildings sustained damage, according to the claims that have been filed, and there were another 28 claims for damage to farm buildings and equipment. The government also pays for lost wages and reductions in business revenues.
