The IDF, responding to a request from the Home Front Command, is adding 150 teachers to help pre-school nurseries in Ashkelon cope with rocket attacks on the port city. One rocket narrowly missed one pre-school nursery Monday morning.

The women soldiers will help escort the children to shelters when necessary and will instruct older children in school how to react to attacks. Thirty IDF teachers were sent to Sderot last week.
