Prime Minister Ehud Olmert told cabinet ministers at the weekly Sunday morning meeting that Israel "has no intention to stop the fighting," adding that increased rocket fire by Palestinian Authority terrorists in Gaza will do nothing to stop the IDF activities.
"If anyone believes that by expanding the range of Kassam (missile) and Grad (rocket) fire he will reduce the operation, he is greatly mistaken," said Olmert. "No one has the right to preach morals to Israel when it acts to defend its citizens against the rocket fire that is disrupting their lives," he said.
The remark was apparently a response to a comment earlier by a PA official who called the IDF military operation in Gaza "the height of moral bankruptcy."
