(IsraelNN.com) A senior Hamas official quoted by Ynet said Saturday night that only 11 of those killed in Gaza throughout the day were armed terrorists, while the rest were civilians.  Earlier in the day, Hamas officials claimed that 16 of 47 Gaza Arabs killed in clashes were civilians.

The official argued that seven women and 10 children and teenagers were killed throughout the day. The rest of the civilian victims were men, many of whom were killed after approaching the scene of a clash between terrorists and soldiers out of curiosity, he said.  IDF officials rejected the claim that most victims were civilians, saying that almost all of those killed in Gaza on Saturday were armed terrorists.
