Hundreds of Arab Israelis protested in Nazareth on Friday afternoon after the Supreme Court upheld the police’s decision to forbid a memorial ceremony in honor of deceased arch-terrorist George Habash. The state argued that Habash’s group, the PFLP, was behind the plan to hold a rally in his memory.
“The idea that the PFLP stood behind the organization of this ceremony is ridiculous,” said MK Mohammed Barakeh (Hadash) on Friday. “The idea to hold a ceremony was mine.”
