Ten rockets have been fired at Ashkelon so far Thursday and 20 were fired at Sderot and other areas in the Negev. A rocket described as a "Kassam" hit Ashkelon in the evening hours, causing light injuries to one person and sending others into emotional shock.

Earlier in the day, a Grad type rocket scored a direct hit on a building. The rocket attack lightly wounded several people and damaged some cars.
