The Dan Bus Company has said it will stop allowing buses on six routes to leave central stations before the end of the Sabbath. Meretz Knesset Member Ran Cohen appealed to Transportation and Road Safety Minister Shaul Mofaz to cancel the change and order the buses to continue traveling on the Sabbath.
 
The company explained that it was not profitable to continue operating the buses before the end of the Sabbath. Egged public buses do not operate on the Sabbath.
