Customs Costs To Rise at Post Offices

Israelis who go to the post office to collect parcels that go through customs will start paying for the service following a change in the handling of the parcels. Prior to a recent reorganization, postal clerks estimated the worth of items in parcels and released them to customers without cost.

Customs clerks working in the post office have taken over the job and will charge customers from 35 shekels to several hundred shekels for the service.
