Dan Shomron to be Buried in Kiryat Shaul

(IsraelNN.com) Former IDF Chief of Staff Dan Shomron will be buried in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul at 3 p.m. on Wednesday.  Shomron died at the age of 70 on Tuesday morning, two weeks after suffering a massive stroke.

Shomron began a long and distinguished military career in the 1960s, and ended it with his service as Chief of Staff between 1987 and 1991.  After leaving the military he worked as chairman of Israel Military Industries, and was one of the founders of the Third Way party.  He is survived by a wife and two children.
