Almost a dozen Kadima MKs met Monday at the Knesset to declare their opposition to the division of Jerusalem.
The 11 MKs expressed opposition to negotiations on the capital and demanded that such moves be discussed by the entire party, as they deal with the faction's platform. One of the participants, MK Yoel Hasson, demanded that a referendum be held on any agreement reached by PM Olmert and Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni, who is heading negotiations with Fatah.
Other participants included MK David Tal, MK Ze'ev Elkin, MK Eli Aflalo and MK Otniel Schneller, who said he does not mind the relinquishing of "isolated Arab neighborhoods" but objects to any talk of abandoning the "holy basin."
