Documents Defy U.S. Claim on Iran Nuclear Work
New documents presented to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) contradict a United States intelligence estimate last December that Iran froze work on its nuclear program in 2003. Israel vehemently rejected the American report, saying it was based on faulty intelligence.
British ambassador to the IAEA, Simon Smith, said the documents were based on several sources and include designs for nuclear warheads and their projected performance when connected with a missile. The Iranian envoy to the IAEA charged that the documents are "forgeries."
