Palestinian Authority (PA) education minister Ibrahim Al-Abrash and a top official on prisoners' affairs have submitted their resignations out of frustration with PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas's stumbling negotiations with Israel. Al-Abrash said he is quitting because he sees no signs of a settlement with Israel.

Kaddura Faris, head of the committee for negotiations on prisoners' affairs, criticized the lack of coordination between the committee and senior PA negotiators Saeb Erekat and Ahmed Qureia.
