(IsraelNN.com) MK Effie Eitam (NU/NRP) said Sunday that the government must prevent Gaza Arabs from breaking into Israeli territory “at any price.”  Soldiers manning the Gaza security barrier could fire cannons in order to prevent crowds from approaching the barrier, he suggested.  “Anyone who chooses to march on the wall and to damage the wall needs to know that his blood is on his own head,” Eitam said.

Representatives of the Hamas-controlled Palestinian Authority in Gaza said Sunday that Gaza Arabs would form a human chain along the Gaza barrier on Monday morning in protest of Israel’s decision to close Gaza crossings in response to rocket attacks.  Hamas spokesmen said they would not tell people to storm the barrier, but did not promise that no civilians would attempt to break through to the western Negev.  Hamas schools will close on Monday to allow children to take part in the protest, spokesmen said.
