The agenda for the regular weekly cabinet meeting was missing an item Sunday morning after pressure from the Prime Minister’s Office Saturday night.

The issue of extending the authority of the Rabbinical Courts, which would include the ability to make decisions on disposition of property in marital and divorce matters, was removed from the cabinet meeting agenda.

The proposal was advanced by Social Services Minister Yitzchak Herzog.
