A woman and her young son were critically wounded in a fire on Thursday afternoon.  The two were discovered unconscious in their apartment on Rabbi Meir Bal HaNes Street in Be’er Yaakov after firefighters had assisted other residents in leaving the building.

MDA paramedics are treating the two, who suffered from burns and smoke inhalation.  No other residents were injured in the fire.  The cause of the fire is not clear.
