(IsraelNN.com) This week's rain and snow brought less precipitation than predicted and the Kinneret has risen less than two inches in the past two days and only 13 inches since the beginning of the winter. The Kinneret usually rises an average of more than 64 inches during a normal year.

Most areas of Israel have received between 80 and 100 percent of average precipitation for this time of year, but the Kinneret started out the winter with a large deficit, which has been growing every season for the past several years.
