Forty Sudanese refugees managed to enter Israel via the Egyptian border on Saturday morning. On Friday, 123 asylum-seekers from various African countries managed to sneak across the border. A total of 2,810 asylum-seekers have entered Israel in the past four months.
Security officials reported that a 37-year-old Eritrean woman had been shot and killed by Egyptian guards as she attempted to cross the border. The woman was shot as she attempted to cross the barbed wire barrier along the Israeli border while fleeing from the guards. Her eight and 10-year-old daughters were arrested.
