Jonathon Pollard objected to Prime Minister Ehud Olmert’s plan to transfer four imprisoned terrorists to Jordan. Pollard, who is serving a life sentence in prison in the United States after being convicted of spying on behalf of Israel, expressed his objection in a letter he sent to the parents of murdered Israeli soldier Yehuda Lifshitz. Lifshitz was killed by Jordanian terrorists 17 years ago. In his letter, Pollard said that Israel must avoid releasing security prisoners who will continue in their efforts to kill Jews.
