The earthquake that shook Israel at 12:37 P.M. Friday measured 5.0 or 5.1 on the Richter scale. The U.S. Geological Survey has reported the quake and said it was centered in the Lebanon-Syria region. It rated it as measuring 5.0 on the Richter scale.
The European-Mediterranean Seismological Center reported the quake as measuring 5.0, with its epicenter in southern Lebanon.
The Israeli Seismological Institute has yet to complete its measurements and make them public.
