MK Nissim Ze'ev (Shas) said Thursday he would support leaving the government if building projects for Jews were halted in any part of the capital.
"If we see that building in Jerusalem has come to a halt, there is no reason for Shas to remain in the government for one additional minute," he told the Hebrew-language website O-Media. "If we are not allowed to build in Har Homa, we've got no reason to be in this government."
Ze'ev said he would raise the issue at a Shas faction meeting scheduled for next Tuesday, but stressed he is bound by decisions of the group's Council of Torah Sages. "In any event, I don't see the current coalition lasting too long," he said.
