Badly needed rain will fall on Wednesday throughout most of the country. The precipitation will become heavier towards evening and will taper off by Thursday night. Another storm will bring more rain to the country Saturday night, followed by frigid weather.

Current weather models indicate that snow will fall Sunday night and Monday in Jerusalem and even in Haifa and low-lying areas west of Jerusalem, where snow is a rarity. Nighttime temperatures next week will be below zero in Jerusalem and in most hilly areas. The thermometer will reach minus 11 Celsius (12 F) on the Hermon.
