Security Cabinet member MK Yitzchak Cohen (Shas) attacked the government policy of not cutting, but only slowly diminishing, power to Gaza in response to continued rocket attacks on Israeli towns.
In an interview with Rabbi Yisrael Eichler on Radio Kol Chai, Cohen said that electricity must be cut completely to Gaza in response to the ongoing rocket attacks.
“It is dastardly that we continue to supply them with electricity,” MK Cohen said. “In my opinion we need to cut the electricity immediately. Not to limit, but to cut it off. If this had been done in the past instead of this policy of diminishing the flow slowly it would have done the job long ago.”
