A new Torah scroll dedicated to the victims of last week's suicide bombing in Dimona is being written. Hundreds of local residents attended a ceremony this week marking the end of the seven-day mourning period (shiva) for the elderly woman who was killed in the terrorist attack. They wrote a letter in the Torah scroll, sponsored by the Chabad Terror Victims Project, whose director Rabbi Menachem Kutner said, "It is precisely here, at the site of evil murder, that we counter with the force of light and goodness."
The community "thanked G-d for those who survived and [arrived] to strengthen and support each other," added Chabad Rabbi Yisroel Gellis, who last week was standing a few yards from the suicide bomber.
