Prime Minister Ehud Olmert met with Defense Minister Ehud Barak and General Security Service (Shin Bet) Director Yuval Diskin at approximately 8:00 a.m. Sunday morning to discuss the situation in Sderot. Israel’s response to the increasingly deadly and farther-ranging rocket attacks was also on the agenda.
Barak returned from an early morning trip to Sderot in which he was booed and told by enraged residents to leave the city after an 8-year-old boy and his 19-year-old brother were seriously injured in a rocket attack Saturday night.
