Police Target Illegal Entrants Following Bombing

Police cracked down on illegal entrants from Palestinian Authority cities on Thursday, arresting 178 in the central district and more in the north.  Police warned earlier in the week that they would work to arrest and remove illegal entrants following a suicide bombing in Dimona that killed an elderly woman and wounded several others.

Police arrested dozens of illegal entrants in the north, including at least 10 who would not have been granted permits to stay in pre-1967 Israel for various reasons.  Police arrested one man for transporting illegal entrants in the north.  The man’s car was confiscated, and will not be released for 30 days.
