Abbas Offers to Broker Ceasefire with Israel, Hamas
(IsraelNN.com) Palestinian Authority Chairman and Fatah leader Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazen) offered Thursday to help Gaza residents avoid more attacks by Israeli war planes and ground forces by arranging a ceasefire between Hamas and the Jewish State.
In a statement by spokesman Nabil Abu Redeina, Abbas also renewed his offer to take control over the Gaza crossings, according to the AFP news agency.
