Political Storm Continues over Prof. Dror's Remarks

Opposition Knesset Members are up in arms over the remarks by Winograd Committee member Prof. Yehezkiel Dror that an early end of the Olmert administration might result in the return of Binyamin (Bibi) Netanyahu as Prime Minister, which he said is undesirable. The slogan 'anything but Bibi' has justified corruption" in the thinking of those opposing him, Likud Knesset Member Yuval Shteinitz told Voice of Israel government radio Thursday morning.

"When a Winograd Committee panel member says in an interview, 'What do you want--Bibi?' it is very grave," he said. "There is suspicion that the committee did not blame Prime Minister Ehud Olmert [for failures in the Second Lebanon War] because of political considerations although it did so in the interim report last year."
