Hareidi-religious residents of Jerusalem held a protest in the city’s Meah Shearim neighborhood on Monday due to plans to carry out an autopsy on the body of a local woman. The woman choked to death, and police decided to order an autopsy despite local residents’ religious objections to the procedure.
Protestors burned garbage cans, blocking traffic in the heavily traveled Kikar Shabbat (Shabbat Square). No injuries were reported.
