Ehud Olmert is twice as popular as he was before the Winograd Report, and most Labor party supporters want their party to remain in Ehud Olmert's coalition, according to a poll published Friday in Yediot Acharonot following the publication of the Winograd report.
The poll found that 18% of the general population would like to see Olmert as Prime Minister – a rise of 10% from the previous poll, three weeks ago. Barak's popularity as possible PM went down from 17% to 14%, and Netanyahu is steady at 30%.
The poll found that 66 percent (two thirds) of Labor supporters think Labor should stay in the government, as opposed to 31% who support leaving it. In the general Israeli public, however, 52% support Barak's leaving the coalition, and only 42% oppose it.
