Life in Jerusalem was back to normal Thursday afternoon, after makeshift snowplows began to dig the city out from under the biggest snowfall in years, aided by slightly warmer temperatures.

Most roads in and out of the capital have been open most of the day, as was the city's Machane Yehuda outdoor market, Malcha mall and post offices.
