Sderot Kids to Enjoy Snow Day in Southern Judea Reported: 12:40 PM - Jan/31/08
(IsraelNN.com) The Mount Hebron Regional Council has invited children from Sderot to enjoy a snow day in the southern Judea region. Council head Tzviki Bar-Chai said the council would provide transportation as a sign of solidarity with residents. Since the beginning of the Oslo War in September, 2000, residents of Gaza-area Jewish communities have suffered near-daily rocket and mortar attacks from Beit Hanoun, an Arab settlement in northern Gaza. There have been more than 2,000 attacks on the town of Sderot alone since Israel destroyed more than 20 Jewish communities in Gaza in 2005. Despite the attacks, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert has said his government has no plans to fortify homes in Sderot or to upgrade bomb shelters in the city. ![]() Check out the Chill Zone - Funny, Entertaining Videos © IsraelNN Syndications - This article may not be republished freely.
