Residents of southern Israeli cities Mitzpe Ramon, Arad and Sde Boker awoke Thursday to a fresh coating of snow. Schools in Arad and Mitzpe Ramon are cancelled for the day.
Further north, in the snow-carpeted capital city of Jerusalem, inter-city bus service service to and from Jerusalem has resumed, though Jerusalem's Hebrew University will not hold classes Thursday. School closures are reported in almost all of Judea and Samaria, as well as many areas in the northern Galil and Golan regions, with limited bus service.
Major snow fall has been reported in many areas, with the northern Mount Hermon recording almost three feet of snow.
