Strong Shekel Boost Trips to United States

(IsraelNN.com) The strong shekel has contributed to a sharp increase in reservations for trips to the United States, according to tourist officials. The dollar dropped to less than 3.64 shekels Tuesday morning, making dollar-quoted plane and hotel prices cheaper.
Demand to American destinations has soared 19.5 percent, Ophir Tours Chairman Boaz Waxman reported. Continental Airlines stated similar figures.
