MKs Meeting on Bill To Ban Jerusalem Gay Parade

(IsraelNN.com) The Knesset Law Committee is meeting Tuesday morning to discuss a bill that would change the Basic Law and prohibit parades by homosexuals in the capital. The bill was sponsored by National Union Knesset Member Eli Gabbai.
He argued that the parades are intended to get attention and are not aimed at making a social statement. "I do not want to see people from outside of Jerusalem coming to interrupt quiet" in the city, he said.
