The second of two Israeli Air Force strikes in Gaza Thursday night and early Friday morning brought to four the toll of targeted terrorists, at least three of whom belonged to Hamas. One of the targets was a truck, and IDF spokesman said that the targets were "terror operatives."

The strikes were near the Rafiah border, where terrorists destroyed the barrier separating the Egyptian and Gaza sides of the city, leaving it open for free movement of terrorists, arms and explosives. Israel has reinforced defenses in the area in light of the rapid and dramatic change along the border and has issued an urgent warning to tourists not to travel in the Sinai Peninsula, south of Rafiah.
