Meretz Knesset Member Avshalom Vilan has clarified remarks he made Monday that an armed invasion of Gaza is necessary and specified that he was referring to a multinational force and not an IDF invasion.

He said that a military force composed of foreign countries "would create a buffer zone" that would put a stop to terror attacks on Israel and IDF counter-terrorist operations, enabling "a return to normal life."
