Barak Orders IDF to Allow Medicine, Fuel into Gaza Reported: 18:58 PM - Jan/21/08
(IsraelNN.com) Defense Minister Ehud Barak has ordered the IDF to allow limited supplies into Gaza. Hospitals will receive shipments of medicine and Gaza’s power plant will be given fuel. Gasoline will not be allowed in. Barak explained that the power plant would be supplied with fuel following a sharp decrease in the number of rockets fired at Israeli towns since Israel cut fuel supplies and closed Gaza crossings last week. Terrorists fired six mortar shells and one rocket at Israeli towns on Monday afternoon, as opposed to dozens of rockets every day last week. Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said earlier in the day that Israel would continue to allow food, medicine, and other basic goods into Gaza, but would not allow any other goods to enter the area. Residents of Gaza will not be allowed to continue life as normal while tens of thousands of Israelis are under attack, he said. ![]() Check out the Chill Zone - Funny, Entertaining Videos © IsraelNN Syndications - This article may not be republished freely.
