The viciously anti-Zionist orthodox Jewish group Neturei Karta denounced IDF anti-terror operations in Gaza Thursday as "ethnic cleansing."
In a statement issued by the organization, the body stated, "This ferocious act is just one in a long line of oppressive acts of ethnic cleansing performed against the Palestinian people since 1948 by the evil Zionist movement." In conclusion, the statement said "The holy land will return to the Palestinians. It is just a question of when."
Established in 1935, Neturei Karta believes Jews are forbidden from creating a state on the Land of Israel until the coming of the Messiah. The group makes frequent appearances at anti-Israel and pro-Muslim rallies, and flew to Iran in 2006 to join President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad at a conference condemning Israel and denying the Holocaust. Neturei Karta leader Moshe Hirsch even served on the cabinet of archterrorist Yasser Arafat, as Minister for Jewish Affairs.
