At least 300 students demonstrated outside the Technion (Israel Institute of Technology) in Haifa Thursday morning.

The students were protesting a decision by faculty members to initiate a work slowdown in sympathy with the semester-long strike by senior university lecturers over dead wage talks with the government.  The Technion faculty decided Thursday not to hold exams during the university lecturers' strike.
