Arab terrorists again targeted the strategic port city of Ashkelon with a Kassam rocket shortly after midnight, causing no damage or injuries. The rocket exploded in the southern edge of the city, where a huge electric power generating station is located. Ashkelon also is home to oil and gas pipelines, and a rocket strike on one of the facilities could cause a huge tragedy.
The city increasingly has become a target for rockets, including longer-range weapons more sophisticated than the Kassam, which lacks a guidance system.
