Demand for high-tech employees rose by 2.3 percent in the fourth quarter of 2007, according to Manpower Israel, a subsidiary of Manpower Information Technologies (MIT). Demand for computer programmers rose by 7.7 percent, and for team leaders and project managers by 10.3 percent.
The increase in high-tech jobs was particularly high in the banking, insurance, and financial sectors, with the demand for high-tech staff in those areas rising by 8 percent in 2007.
