According to Al-Jazeera, Egyptian officials recently thwarted an attempted attack on Israel.  Authorities arrested two Egyptian army captains and 12 military engineers.  The detainees are reportedly affiliated with international terrorist group Al-Qaeda.

The group worked to create a small, unmanned aircraft that would attack sites in Israel.  In addition, the group built a rocket similar to those used by Gaza terrorists.  The group was reportedly caught shortly before United States President George Bush visited Israel last week, and the arrests are expected to be used as evidence that Egypt is doing its part to fight terrorism.
