Rabbi David Batzri and his son Rabbi Yitzchak Batzri were recently indicted for inciting to racism.  Jerusalem prosecutors decided to charge the two based on anti-Arab statements made during a 2006 conference opposing the expansion of a mixed Jewish-Arab school in the Pat neighborhood of Jerusalem.

Rabbi David Batzri reportedly called the school “despicable and impure... Purity and impurity cannot be mixed.  The people of Israel are pure and the Arabs are a nation of donkeys.”  Rabbi Yitzchak Batzri said that Arabs are “inferior” and try to marry Jewish women.  “People say we are racist,” he said, “but [the Arabs] are the evil ones, the cruel ones... this is war.”
