Israel Police and General Security Services say a series of burning tires and gas canister explosions on roads on the Wadi Ara (Nachal Iron) road over the past three days may have been attempted terrorist attacks.

Local Arabs have attacked Jewish cars repeatedly on Route 65, which leads past the Arab city, in recent years. Officer Kobi Shabtai told Voice of Israel government radio that the police viewed the ongoing situation "seriously" and were searching for perpetrators.
