24th WIZO Conference to be Held in Tel Aviv (IsraelNN.com) The Women's International Zionist Organization (WIZO) will hold its 24th quadrennial conference in Tel Aviv, taking place on January 13-17. The event will honor the 60th anniversary of the State of Israel and will host lectures revolving around the connection between Jewish communities in the exile and Israel. Approximately 1,000 delegates, aged 18 to 80, representing 36 countries around the world, will be joined by Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and President Shimon Peres. Panel discussions will include hasbara - getting Israel's views out - with Israel's Ambassador to the UN Danny Gillerman, education with Minister of Social Affairs Isaac Herzog, Education Minister Yuli Tamir, MK Dalia Itzik and MK Shelly Yechimovich, and women in the army with Colonel Yehudit Groisaro, the chief of staff's advisor on women's affairs.
